can you boil water?

Postby oklahomajewel » Thu Jan 12, 2006 6:39 pm

There are no dumb questions... right??

If not using a Coleman stove, is it possible to boil water and keep it boiling for 10 minutes when its on/over a wood fire?
What's the secret?

The old boy scout trick I learnt as a lad was to build the fire around the billy and keep feeding it. This would keep water on the boil until the kettle/billy boiled dry.
