2013 Season Closer

Postby whitby guy » Mon Aug 12, 2013 1:57 pm

Anyone up for a season closing last week end gathering? Still spots left in Deer campground at Awenda...October 11/12/13 ish.
Should be bug free by then (most of the little beggers will have frozen off I hope).
If not Awenda, any other suggestions? (Camping suggestions, Jawbone!)

hi Sandy how was the hike/waterfall that you took at ADK the day I left? Have you gone camping since then. The Niagara Falls gathering that I went to at 4 mile Creek in ny was a really nice campground. Less showed up on Saturday. The weekend you suggested in October is Thanksgiving weekend that weekend might be too busy for me. ( Being Thanksgiving ) I'll have to figure that out when I get back. Right now trying to pack for" rolling home" event. Finally got my little guy. I'm trying to get it ready for it. Working on table for back gallery. I am thinking of suggestions

CAMPING???? Why sir, I know not what you mean!
I'm not sure if I can get away on Thanksgiving - It's my birthday, so if there are presents I'm sure I could get up there to pick those up!! 8) :applause:

Keep me posted!!

Hi all.
Didn't realize it was thanksgiving...that will change things. Maybe that's why there were openings at the campgrounds.
Maybe the weekend before? Should be some colour in the leaves then.

Hi T.
The hike up Ampersand was great. Not one of the high peaks, but one of the "ADK six" to hike (six highest peaks in the park). The trail was well marked and the view from the top was great. Glad to hear you got the net camper. Have fun at rolling home.

Been busy finally had a chance to go online well I'm back from rolling home on my way back I stayed at sara's campground at Presque lsle s.p in Erie p.a what a beautiful area I camp right on the beach couldn't believe it was Lake Erie. Surprised no one has mentioned any campground yet I thought by the time I got back sites would be booked. I assume you're thinking of Canadian campgrounds????
