Hey guys/gals,
this thread will cover my build and mods to my recently acquired 2006 Chalet Arrowhead A frame hardshell camper. A few years ago, my fiance and I rolled the dice on some offgrid land in Colorado in the mountains, and since we didn't have enough money to build, we wound up purchasing a shortie skoolie conversion, and parking it on the land as a temporary cabin. One thing to note, we are at almost 8' and we get a LOT of snow. This is important later.
Anyway, we wanted more space, we were both working remote, and the bus was a little cramped with 2 people and 2 dogs trying to get work done, so we thought about building a small a-frame, but honestly working so much took away a lot of free time, so I started looking at pop up a-frame campers. This would function as an 'extra room', as well as guest accommodations for visitors.
Here is a tour of when I first rolled it into the driveway:

It's not perfect, but that's why it was affordable. The biggest issue was the delamination on the roof. I've seen a lot of RV delam repair videos, but none on an a-frame camper, so I did a quick video showing how I repaired it, here:

huh. Can't get the link to work. Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6pNtGvznlI
I have a few more videos about this thing coming out at some point, including the addition of building an A=frame over the a-frame to keep the snow load off from the roof. I'll update this post as I go. Looking forward to seeing everyone's ideas and improvements, have a good one!
