I was wandering if alll that have built wood tears could tell me the woods they have used. I REALLY want to use a light wood like birch or any other. One of the pics from a recent get to gether had many tears in it and the first one has a light and marbled look to it. Thanks fo all your help guys, bye

If you're referring to mine (I'm in the shorts, aloha shirt & straw hat with faithful dog Sarah at my feet) it's 3mm Shelmarine Okoume marine plywood. It ain't cheap stuff, but it is the best. I got it from Harbor Sales.
All of those are grate but I have to get them in 4x10 sheets and for the birch I was looking at I will be nearly paying 200 dollars a sheet so dont tell me marine isnt cheep. P.S. I am rebuilding a sail boat and had marine grade ply brought in for 80 bucks a sheet. Thanks for all the grate woods.
