Watch a True Novice Build

Postby davel » Sun Jan 30, 2005 5:08 pm

Taking off Tuesday thru Friday to start work on our teadrop. The Bluebonnet Tear construction can be followed at http://www.tearsoftexas.com. Choose the link to the Lovelace Garage and watch the construction. I am building totally without plans, watch the mistakes materialize.

Frame is the folding Harbor Frieght trailer. Have used it for about a year as a utility trailer and am pleased with it. I have moved the axle back about 6". Photos of that part of the process can be seen at http://www.tearsoftexas.com/bluebonnet.htm

Are you sure you have enough room for a teardrop in there? :CC

Everythings on rollers. The trailer fits in that side of garage. It will be little tight. When you don't have much room you just have to move things around.

Your website doesn't work correctly in non-IE browsers. Here's a direct link for the rest of us:

Edit: Whoops, nevermind. Didn't see the third post.

I'm building mine in a small space left in my garage too. I have about 1.25 inch clearance when the garage door comes down. I can't install the outdoor door light on it as the garage door will hit it. Now that's close. My design has a rear door, very non-traditional. I have to open the garage door to get in it. Guess I could crawl thru the window..... ;)

Yes it is a Dlink DCS-900. I'll send my wife and grandson out to wave.

Ah I see, you're the builder, and the webcam guru, but you won't be caught on the camera... instead you send the wife and the grandson out there... Is that the right thing to do? :?

Probably not, but this recliner is awfully comfortable. You'll have plenty of time to see me this next week. I'll be there all day Tuesday thru Friday. Of course you'll have to deal with glare off my bald spot.

Hi All,

Is anyone else watching Dave on the web cam. He's making good progress with his teardrop build. It's a great way to watch a project come together. I check in several times a day just for fun. My co-workers think I'm nuts but who cares, teardrops are fun!
