Hi Arne,

Go to the link for "Tears of Texas" at the top of this string. http://www.tearsoftexas.com/ When you get to the home page click on The Garage in the header block.

Now, I can veiw this site fine through the network at work but was unable to link through to the forum, gallery and garage from my home dial-up. Maybe someone out there can help us.

Anyway I just checked again and it looks like dave is out of camera range or taking a break at the moment. You can still see the trailer though.

I tried it and all I see where the picture should be is a blank grey box.
The field of flowers are there though.

I just looked at it and he has the frame, floor, and sides out in the drive way working on it.

OK Folks,

I'm no high tech wiz but I linked over from T&TTT and got the grey screen. so I copied the link and opened a fresh explorer application and pasted the link in. The screen booted up and now I see Dave working his heart out on that little teardrop.

I noticed that a message for loading applet appeared on the second try. I don't know what an applet is but It needs to be booted up to get the camera images.

Hey Dave,

There is a lot of frustration on the board... folks trying to watch your progress, and only getting a gray box. Can I offer a suggestion...? Use what I used... conquercam.

It's a good way to capture shots at any interval you specify, plus you can save an archive of your files and post them on the web at your leisure...

Here's the url...
http://www.theill.com/conquercam/

I ended up using jalbum to turn all those photos into an album, which you can see here...

Hope that helps...

I'll second conquercam. Very easy setup. I've used it for my birdcam for a long time now. It also has motion detection (which I use) so you don't upload too many dead shots.

Thanks to all that have watched and tried to watch. The cam that is on is a DCS-900. It doesn't work for me at work either something to do with the firewall we have. I also haven't been real pleased with the resolution. My son has writen a vb script that is taking a shot every 3 minutes, I just haven't had time to get this on the site yet. I'm also taken some better shots with digital camera that I will be updating on the tearsoftexas site in the gallery.

The first two days working on the framework made me feel like I was getting no where. But the last two days it has really started taking shape. One lesson already learned is that I won't build another without have plans totally lined up. This week has really given me a lot of relaxation from my usual work. I've really enjoyed it.

Thanks for all the coments, I'll see what I can do to keep the photos updated faster.
