Woody Teardrop on Ebay. Nice Styling

Postby Nick Taylor » Sat Feb 12, 2005 11:53 pm

Check out this woody teardrop on ebay. I like the way the outside is done. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4526982876. It has a Ken-Skill profile like my trailer.

Good grief, Nick. I would feel like I needed a butler to go with it. It's a beauty all right. The link in the auction is even more startlling.

My wife would treat it like furniture and I doubt if I would be allowed to use it. According to the link, Nicolas Gage has one and uses it as a bar.

It is certainly interesting.

Thanks,

Tom

It's a steal at only $27,500.

The box on the tongue is a BBQ.

I just noticed that the one on Ebay is a little different than the other one. The rear body has the kick up at the bottom like a Ken-Skill where the other one is just flat and simpler. The kick-up gives the back a little extra grace.

Wow what a beaut.

I noticed the grill right away. Does anybody know what brand that is. I like that it folds up into that nice case.

ahh the ebay pics have a readable logo on the grill. its DAVIS I will look it up.

Davis is the guy who built the teardrop. I wonder if he fabricated the grills as well.

I guess we Mopar fans know what it would take to pull it.

On a little bit less glib note, the side treatment of this Davis is elegant and within the woodworking skill of some of the folks in the forum.

Actually I thought it was the crystal with the custom holders that made the price difference!!! A rolling wet bar!!!

It's the ultimate tail-gaiting rig. After you served up some brats on the custom grill and sipped brandy from the crystal, you can climb inside and sleep it off.

Now call me old-fashioned, if you must, but I don't think the inside is for sleeping anything off. Discretion prevents me from revealing what it is for (but the emoticons below give some clues).....

Any now that I've proven that 2x2 (1/8" wall) is not a suitable tongue material, I'm going to see if I can prove if 2x2 (1/4" wall) square tube is acceptable. (!)

Then it better have a stronger tongue than the one Dave broke in Baja or excellent stabilizer jacks.
Who has research on this highly specialized tongue torque.
