 That is about my luck, find some fenders that I think will look good on my tear and they don't offer the size needed to fit over my tires :( Oh well, the search continues ;)

On the Inside of my tear directly over the door at the highest point from floor to head headliner is 42 inches.

Thanks! Just wonderd, if height was comfortable, over 1pl. ply width.
Saw your comment on the height against your hauler, and this is also my intend, when starts to build.......

I'm about 6 foot and i have never had a problem sitting up in bed to watch TV. We also use a 6inch foam mattress and it still has plenty of head room for me..

More thanks!
Plans to be starting a Tear build in style as a CabinCar, but wants it to be nearly similar height as the hauling car. And yours seams to be nearly same height as my plans.. and wondered the inside height would be enough for comfortable staying. Although i plan a step down, or raise/lower part of the floor to get even more headspace. But, the need of only "one sheet" plywood height is great to lower the cost and weight.

Yet i´m just lurking around and find tips & styles to use, and your profile is great, even its not CabinCar style......!!!

I'm digging up a old thread! Yeah after 5 years of camping and enjoying our little blue teardrop it's getting a little worn. The painted sides have need of a sanding and new top coat. I figured what better place to post the upgrades than the original build thread. I've taken off most of the trim and finish items from the sides. I have also sanded the sides down using my orbital sander. We are planning to re-coat the sides with epoxy and then more blue paint. Once the paint is done were going to trim the camper out with some diamond plate around the bottom. Our upgrades are also going to extend into the galley area. We're planning on changing out the counter top with a custom built one. Here's some pictures of the progress so far.

Stay tuned for more pictures as the progress comes about.

Good luck Eddie. Will you have it ready for Loyd Park next month?

Looks like a lot of work Eddie. It should look really incredible when you get done!

Thanks

Woody the outside should be. But the counter top may not. We're looking forward to Loyd park. Maybe arriving late Friday though. Depends on what time we can get away.
