Windows needed

Postby Craig McCormick » Tue Apr 05, 2005 7:35 am

I am looking for 8 windows that need to be 12" to 16" wide by 4" to 6" high for an up coming trailer project. I found some at West marine but they are $130.00 each and up! I would like to pay $50.00 each or less.

Thanks,

...Craig, do they have to be made of glass, do they have to open. If the answer to those questions are no, then check out the offerings in UVEX (UV resistant Laexan) at http://www.tjtrailers.com/store/trailer ... html#10238 they are good people to deal with and have very reasonable prices and shipping. These windows come from Redneck Trailer Supply, so if you have a dealer in your area(welding/steel/trailer supply) you could save shipping costs...don't forget to order the appropriate mounting gasket/trim

Craig, I live near Elkhart Indiana which is RV capital of the world and they have a great salvage place with thousands of windows. I got a couple of 12 x 16 sliders with screens for $16 each. their web site is https://www.rvsurplussalvage.com/index.php although I've never bought off site, I just go there and wander around. hope it helps,

Craig,
Do you run around junkyards much?

We pulled our windows from an old truck camper. Wonder if you could find a cheap window source at your local junkyard?
