Tear at Greenfield Village

Postby OurStuff4You » Mon Jun 21, 2004 10:36 am

Hey all - had a wonderful weekend at Greenfield Village (Henry Ford Museum) and the Met/Benroy combo drew a lot of attention. I can't count the number of people who asked about teardrop camping, if they can be built, etc. Hopefully many of them will stop by this site like we told them to and join in. I uploaded a few pics to my album if you want to check it out...

Hmmmm, okay, what am I doing wrong that my pic won't show???

Hi Rhonda,

I fixed your link so it works... take a look at the syntax. The photos that you upload here can not have the img tags around it, because the links do not end in .jpg.

Just paste the link exactly the way your browser has it, and it'll work fine.

I checked out the picture link and was duely impressed. However (and I am sure that this comment is heard often) that teardrop looks like it a pusher for the smaller Met in front.

Neat rig and I am sure it garners lots of comments.

Cheers.

Mike, one time I got the pic to show in the text using a pic from the forum. Now I can't get it to show. I know I'm being clueless - please enlighten me! :D

Thanks Chip. We have fun with it. The Met is my daily driver in the summer and the tear tows behind it like a dream. The short tongue length works great with the little car - it's a pain in the neck with our truck.

Okay,

Here's my quick lesson about pictures...

If you have a picture somewhere on the web and the URL ends in a common picture format, for example ".jpg" Then you can put that picture in a message on this board, by surrounding the URL with [img]and[/img]

Look at this picture of my browser looking at a picture...
Image

I can cut and paste the URL http://www.mikenchell.com/babybenroy.jpg and put it in my message like this

The photos that you upload to the Photo Album here are a different animal. Here's an example of my web browser when you are looking at one of those.

Notice there is no .jpg or anything at the end? That means you can only paste it as a hot link. You can not insert it as a picture.

Like this...
http://tnttt.com/album_ ... pic_id=219

Does that help?

Wow - you're awesome Nick! Still haven't heard back on the tear from Dennis. He was trying to get ahold of the other family members - so we'll see.

Yes, I know Chip! I agree about the paint scheme. If we get another tear that's not so "original" I'll definitely want it painted to match. It would look so much better matching.
