Well it ain't a dutch oven stand but since there are a bunch of repurposed walkers on this thread I just couldn't resist adding this one.

If the weather is taking a turn in your neck of the woods it just might be helpful....

Fortunately, my neighbor has a snowblower that he loves to use, but a drive that is only about 4 feet long, so he gleefully does my drive. But if he ever moves I'll keep this in mind!

I'm breaking one of my personal rules and posting before finishing reading (only made it to page 5). The whole deal with the plow disc or satellite dish for dutch oven use reminded me of something else I saw. It was pics from a guy that happened on a reenactment of a Viking camp in Norway. They used large metal dishes to make fires in, I guess they could do that even on their ships. It also allows you to make an open fire in places that don't always allow fires, unless contained. With the dish/disc, one doesn't disturb the ground at all.

Great idea with the satellite dish, I wouldn't have thought it would hold up to the heat. I wonder how it would do with a wood fire?

Well, thanks to this thread, I now have a new project. I went out today and bought a walker from goodwill, $7.99. They had the exact one I wanted, adjustable height, no wheels, collapsible. Went by Lowes and got the hardware I need. Now I just have to come across a dish.

I'll be looking for a walker also. I need to get the Weber off the ground so I can reach it.

Finally got my dish! My wife found me one on the curb while out running early one morning. Got it just in time to tailgate for football season! Made an awesome breakfast on it last week.

I, also, picked up a walker. $4.99 at the thrift shop. Just cut the rubber grips off. Going to the beach Wednesday and will use it under the little Weber.
