Yes, we did want a new forum. Thanks for letting us know about it. There's nothing wrong with the old one, just wanted to be able to surf faster and contact people easier. We'll be checking in regularly. I'm now building a trike...hopefully, will be building a mini teardrop style trailer to go with it. Lots of photos are on the Maxitear site under Desert Rat.

We'll be posting on your upcoming gatherings very soon as we sponsor several a year.

Thanks again & Happy Trails to all 8)

Bufordt,

I know, I'm not jerry but I know the answer to your question. It's a VW Trike and he's naming it The Desert Rat. When you go into his web site, just click on the wording The Desert Rat and that'll take you to the construction pages.

Have a good day,
Gage

Never mind Jerry. I checked it out. Looking cool. Saw a show the other night on TV about the guy who builds bikes. He built a trike like that. Got me interested. Great way to pull a tear. Keep us posted on the progress.

The trike is coming along quite well. More photos are going to be added today...the frame is almost done and now comes the body...it's going to have the roadster look. Not the typical trike look...but then again, we built the Maxitear that isn't the typical either! Guess we're just not typical people. Hopefully, it will be ready to go in a couple of weeks. Keep checking back to see our progress.
