Shade canopy

Postby beverlyt » Sat Jul 24, 2004 5:18 am

Hello!
I just bought the following shade tent for my teardrop:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWN:IT

The last time we went camping, our trailer was out in direct sunlight all day. Though it is fully insulated, it got pretty warm inside.
I'm hoping this will go over the top of the teardrop. It's going to be close. If not, we'll use it over the picnic area or whatever.

Dog-gone it! This is the last tent I'm buying to teardrop camp. I've already got the pop-up screen tent. (The bugs in Michigan will drive you to madness) and the pop-up tent for porta-potti/dressing.

Enough tents all ready!

Chip,
Lightweight is the catch word on this one. I looked at the EZ-UPs and the like...wow...they are much more heavy than what I would have expected.
Course, this canopy tent probably isn't as heavy-duty though.
Weight is something I really look at when shopping for the teardrop.

I CAN'T WAIT to see pics of the TPO when you've got it all installed.
Well, gotta run...we're off to go camping tonight. Have some new tacky patio lights to use tonight!

30 square foot of shade only works out to be a little less than 5.5'x5.5' for the top, thats not much shade, but the price was right :D
Your right about the EZ-up canopys, there around 40 pounds.

The price of EZ-Up's really depends on where you buy them. If you have a Sportsmart in your area, watch for their sales. They mark them down very often and they also have 25% off sales that make a big difference. I paid $50 for a couple small green ones last year. Normally they are $100 or more.
