Thanks for all the input, people. :) Please keep replying with your trailer sizes and weight. I will let them accumulate for about a week before I update the document. I may give it a couple weeks before I calculate the averages, etc, as that will give people, who might be on vacation, an opportunity to add theirs in.

4x8 plywood, insulated, lots of oak and maple. Weighed it ready to go camping. Without the camping gear I will say 1000 lbs. A little on the heavy side. Also it is built to go on rough roads and some light 4x4. Also the spare tire is in there.

Here's the stats on Steve Wolverton's Puffin, which mine is loosely copied from. (I don't think he posts on here anymore):

Post subject: I weighed the Puffin today. 796 pounds fully loaded ready to roll.
I estimated it would weigh 700 pounds, so I missed it by 100. I don't think I included the AC, 13" television, or 3/4"
plywood dropped floor in the original calculations. I have 156 pounds of tongue weight. I'm probably going to remove
the huge box on the tongue and replace it with a small one to hold my extension cords and stuff. I'll start hauling the
items I have in the box under the bed when I get the rear hatch installed.
So, a hair under 800 pounds.

From an earlier response in the same thread:

The camper is 96" long and 72.5" wide.

Again, that is for Steve's camper, not mine. I will get mine weighed as soon as I get it completed.

Update: I went back and looked at the original thread. To get this light weight, he used a Harbor Freight trailer, 1/2" ply for the floor, 1/4" ply for the sides, front/roof/back. No insulation. The cabinets have a front face but no doors. I suspect mine will weigh at least a couple of hundred pounds more.

Wow! Puffin statistics? Thanks for that, Jerry. I wonder how Steve was able to build it so lightweight?!

Of course, this is exactly what I said earlier. When you see that someone was able to build so light, it makes you want to go to their build site and find out! So, this thread will encourage people to do just that and...excuse the pun..."enlighten" themselves.

Mine is 4 1/2' x 10' and weighs 1250# It is 1/2" ply with 1" foam on the inside and a paper bag and Elmer"s interior finish. I have a 10 gallon water tank that I am going to do away with. White pine and luan cabinetry. Started with a fairly heavy boat trailer.

I edited my post with some additional info from Steve's original build thread, for anyone interested.

Sharon,
This is a great thread  I hope it keeps going. An interesting addition would be the approx. build cost.
