Free website for photos

Postby mikeschn » Thu Jul 29, 2004 7:10 pm

Does anyone know of a free website where you can upload photos to? Not the sites like Yahoo and Geocities, cause I can't use those links in [img] tags here. Yahoo and Geocities block direct links to photos.

Any suggestions? I thought Bev could point directly to her photos, but looking, at http://www.freewebs.com I see her page is frozen because her bandwidth usage is too high this month already!

Thanks,

Mike...

Hey Mike,
My buddy Glen Smith (new member) should probably know, because he uses that type of service to post his kayak pictures on a boatbuilding site that we belong to. You could try to PM him, but it might be a day or two before he responds, because he is on a camping trip right now.

Mike,

If it is any help, I have my own domain and website at www.james-willis.com. We could do something like www.james-willis.com/teardrop and I could let you use that. Let me know... maybe we can do some trading :D

Why are none of your images showing on your website? All I see is little red X's.
It worked until I fixed it!!!

There is no page called "teardrop" yet. I was just making the offer. If anyone wants to take me up on it then we will have to create it.

It's not for me actually,it's for the users here... Folks want to have their photos actually appear in their messages here, and to do that they have to post their photos on a paid webpage. Yahoo and Geocities and most free webpages block linking to photos on free webpages.

Although I tried http://www.villagephotos.com last night and it worked, and it was free. But there is a 25 photo limit.

Thanks for the offer though.

Mike...

P.S. Oh and Shrug, your photo album has the same problem my photo album has. You can only display a "URL" to the photo.

Hey Frank,

I posted that photo for you...

the URL is http://www.mikenchell.com/images/teardropheaven1.jpg

All you have to do to use it is embed the URL inbetween the img tags, like this...

Image
see, now wasn't that easy! :D
Make sure there are no spaces in there...!!!
