J seals for my doors??

Postby atoddy » Wed Feb 11, 2015 6:34 pm

Hello everybody.
New to posting but have been trawling the site for some time.
I have been looking into different ways of sealing the doors on my tear drop trailer and have decided on using this seal

It is listed as a truck door seal. I have had a look at the product on various trucks of all different sizes and from talking to the drivers it does an excellent job of weatherproofing the interior. It has a double seal, and if water does get inside the outside seal it is channeled out by the inside seal when the door is opened.
Sorry to be a little long winded but has anybody tried this type of seal??
Thanks in advance.
Great sight with great advice!!

Hey- response to your long past post- I am where you were- doors installed and in need of weatherproofing.

Did you end up using these? I've been looking for something like a compressible loop connected with a strip of aluminum for the three long-moving surfaces of the door.

Whatever you ended up with, I'd appreciate hearing about it if you'd like to share.

Thanks.
