Cool stool (and tote)

Postby les45 » Sat May 13, 2017 4:15 am

I had a need for a step for the entry door on my current pop-up project. After researching all the options, I decided to go with this Safe-T-Stool which serves double duty as a step stool and a tote. Most of the folding RV steps that I looked at had ratings of about 300 lbs and had a lot of negative reviews about the legs breaking. The Safe-T-Stool is rated at 500 lbs and is solid as a rock. The rubber step and the bottom rim base are both non-slip materials. Since I also had a need for storing some of the smaller gizmos that I will use for setting up my camper, the tote storage works great for my needs. It is currently listed on ebay for about $24 with free shipping and that is about half the price of most of the metal folding steps. FWIW

Clever idea, I made a wood step, that when we travel I flip it upside down, set it inside the door, and store a few boards, stabilizers, hammer, and fire extinguisher in it. This would serve the same purpose. How is it listed on eBay?

No; I flipped it and tried. The rubber step is held on with clips into the plastic frame which are not watertight.

Looks like the price has gone up a couple of bucks since I bought mine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LifeSmart-8-Por ... SwYvFZFF61

They are also available in colors.
