CycleKarts

Postby Vedette » Sun Jun 04, 2017 10:15 am

I know there is a whole separate "Forum" for CycleKarts.
BUT......I just wanted to find out if there are other "Teardrop Campers" that have caught the CycleKart bug like I have, or are interested in
CycleKart Racing? :FNP
There is a big event coming up June 23 to 25th in Tieton Wa.
Anyone coming? ;)

PS
Last year there were 4 Teardrops there!

now you did it!! I can now foresee a teardrop 'cyclekart' tow trailer in the future! open up the rear tailgate(teardrop kitchen door) and drive the cyclekart inside - a duel purpose trailer. :) ;)

Hi Ted
Just got off the phone with Loren & Claudia.
She is doing Great!
About 4 weeks ahead of recovery schedule.
Walking without a cane already.
Says she will be ready for the Fall Crawl. :applause:

that sounds great!! I have an extra walker/chair now that she could have for the Farm if they were to make it to the Farm Gathering. I re-did the "Binford" D.O. Transport Walker with a different one and now have a extra one which I un-did back to it's original propose - a disabled walker/roller sit down chair. It is "rated" for a 270 lb sit down. ;) It's complete with it's braking system now. Ted

Hey Ted
All you need is a sprocket and a HF Predator 212 and you could have that walker race ready in no time flat????

I keep threatening to build a cyclecart, but Lori demands I make two.

the "predator" engine on the walker? it might work - trouble is, it would be so light you could probably out run all of the cyclekarts -- could use it as the "pace" car instead of the police car!!! that's an idea!!! (might be just a bit tippy in the corners - but drag racing?? YES!!--until it is time to turn right or left in the shut down area. )

Greg M. - build two of them!! you have room in the back of the truck for one and just re-do the inside of the trailer for the other - the "duel purpose trailer" I spoke off (which it already is, is it not? for bicycles? if I remember right....?)

I've been following the CycleKart thing for about a year now...another hobby I don't have time for.

I'd love to put together one loosely based on a Model T pickup, just to tool around our gravel roads out here in the country.
The more stuff I take along, the more time I spend taking care of my stuff!

I just spoke with a friend in Wa. last night who is just finishing his Roadster PU CycleKart, and there is on in Arizona too.
There was also A Model T version at Tieton the last two years.
Have at it!

What? After all the years of big cars, she thinks it's a step down?

We built one a few years ago. Here's an in-progress pic with the Missus behind the wheel.

The crew up in Tieton build some great karts. Not too hard to build, good fun! Mine will do 43 mph with a lightly modified predator 212.
