Space Station Flyover Viewing

Check the schedule for your location.

OR you can register your zip code with NASA and receive a text or email message providing the direction, angle and time to see the space station 12 hours before a flyover in your area.

Saw it twice last week at sunset.

Was visible even with the full super moon and the enormous amount of light pollution where I live.

Moves pretty fast 17,150 miles per hour at an altitude of 215 miles. Appeared to be moving faster than other satellites I see. Was visible for several min. as it flew across the sky (west to east).

I use ISS Finder app on my phone.

I find it remarkable to see it streaming across the blackened sky. Short of the moon, it's the brightest thing up there.

I also like the iFlare app. to see iridium satellites when they pass over my location. Any minus number is usually visible, the lower the number the brighter the flare.
