Designing a teardrop in SketchUp video series

Postby danlott » Wed Jan 17, 2018 2:44 am

Just wanted to remind everyone I made a series of videos on how to layout and create a teardrop trailer in Google SketchUp. I used the free version of SketchUp 8.0. There is a newer version of SketchUp now, but the program is basically the same.

I based this trailer on the Grumman 2 design by Andrew, which can be found in the Design Library under the Design Resources at the top of the screen. It is not an exact copy, but you should get the idea.

Hope you enjoy and learn a little along the way.

Please like and subscribe to my YouTube channel. I am considering posting more videos in the future. Let me know what you think.

Thank you,

I really like SketchUp, I am sure I spend way too much time designing stuff.

I really like this tutorial! Thanks for making it! I was going to try and render my teardrop plans in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, but after watching your tutorial videos I believe it will be faster and easier with SketchUp. I'm at least going to give it a go, and see what happens. I'm still very new to the Adobe programs, and they're not quite as easy (at least it seems that way to me) so we'll see if I can't figure out SketchUp faster.

This is a great tutorial on Sketchup. I think it should be a sticky somewhere.
It's 5 o'clock somewhere ... time for a
