passenger side door

Postby Sidekick » Sat May 12, 2018 5:08 pm

I am in need of a passenger side door. I have searched thru the posts and only found one reference and the link did not work. I do not want to spend 400.00 for a door. My last trailer dorr was a cut down full sized door from a motorhome that rolled over. Not lucky in finding another. Besides EBAY and Amazon any directions you can give?

I have already wasted enough time trying to make my own door- failed miserably. NO RV places that have short doors- only full sized doors395. and they are not alterable.did that on the last trailer and they leaked a little

Hire a carpenter to make it for you.

I am a carpenter! But the hatches, windows, and fittings I have already are not hand made they are re-purposed.I am not going to put a cabinet door on a nice looking trailer. Was looking for a radiused and formed door to match what I have.

Then 3 choices I see

find an online second-hand source

start travelling with a jury rig solution, and make RV junkyards your itinerary priority, or

I guess you need to pay the going rate for a new one.

Problem solved. I found a reject door at an RV place (rejected because of an inside blemish) 28x 76 full length. Going to try and cut it down to size, (this did not work real well on the other door for Rerun 1
.) It has no window in it, but I have plenty. $100.00 cash I can live with.
