I tried the beads in my GMC years ago. Didn't like them. On the GMC I had best results by truing and conventional balancing.
I'll be happy as heck if I wear my tires out as it'll mean I was on the road lots.

Got my wheels back and they are sporting some new bling, bling.
Balancing was definitely needed.
They dont work well in some tires. They work great on my trailer tires, my dads 2 cars, his pickup and his semi truck and trailer. However with his semi he had 2 brands of tires that shook bad with the beads. Switched brands and it was fine. Likely it just needed more beads but maybe that tire was just too unbalanced for the beads to balance back out

Wow, your set up seems just about perfect to me. the only thing I can think of from here after all that has been posted is to still add some weight as we talked about earlier. Hitch weight is good where it is.

I'm really hoping having done the balancing will have an impact.
Going to set up for another test run over the weekend.
Tempted to start at 30 psi, using the inflation charts as guide, but still pondering about that.

Yikes... I sure screwed up my tongue weight.
I originally weighed with almost empty fresh water.
Before going on my test run I filled up as that would be my normal since we avoid commercial campgrounds.

Today I was getting ready for another test run and re-weighed tongue again.
Even without my 2 propane tanks mounted I was a 295 lbs.

Took about a hundred pounds at the rear to get it to 250.

Starting from scratch tomorrow. Going to be an interesting day :)
Will try with only 1 propane tank and spare removed.
Moving anything else would be much more trouble.

Defiantly thinking that manufacturer's specs were done empty, empty and not real life, but I guess that's the norm.

:)

Big sigh of relief! - Todays test run was definitely better.
Instead of my test liquid bouncing all over the place it tamed down to a gentle sway.

Current numbers;
Wheels balanced.
Tires: 35 PSI
Trailer weight, on it's own: 2006 lbs
Hitch via bathroom scale: 333 lbs

With full fridge, located in rear, hitch weight may come down to the 15% and if not I'll move the spare to the TV.

Much happier. Thank you all for your help.

That is great to hear and this can hopefully be helpful to others who want to smooth out their ride!

Getting the tongue weight right can be a chore. This is my setup and they way i had it planned originally the water plus gerry cans of gas would be a variable of 465 pounds from full to empty! On a 2000 pound (full) trailer thats a lot. I changed that to a variable of 330 pounds before we left but i need to keep my tongue weight within 50 pounds, preferably within 30 pounds and thats difficult. It worked ok for the first 6 weeks, now we are rearranging things before we take off again for another 6 weeks. Hopfully it will be down to 200 pounds of variable water and gasoline weight. Image

I updated the video clip to 15 secs before and 15 secs after wheel balancing.
