LittleSwissTeardrop page down!!!!!! Help!!!!!

Postby Hitec4you » Tue Jul 17, 2018 1:27 pm

I am getting ready to start my first build this Fall, and was modeling my teardrop after planovet's LittleSwissTeardrop but when I go to his site it is not there. I have been admiring his teardrop for years and have looked at his site times but always thought it would be there when I was ready to start building. I hope he puts it back up. :worship: Now I am searching the internet and here for any photo or post that he has made. I just won't have all the narration to go along with the photos like he had on his website. :(

I was hoping to get to see his teardrop and meet him at the Beaver's Bend gathering last April but my wife got diagnosed with Leukemia at the 1st of the year and with all her doctor visits and help she needed I wasn't able to get to it. Now she is in remission and getting stronger and I got my trailer and am ready to finally start working on my little dream camper.

You might try posting this in the South Central section. 2bit (Thomas) and others may have contact information for Planovet.

Mark does post in the south central Facebook page as well.
Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

Apparently a double thread ... I replied to the other one, but will reply here too.

Found it on the wayback machine (webarchive):

Thank you! :applause: That has helped out some. When I go to the build pages it will give me the narration but none of the pictures to go along with it. But is still a lot of help. I can fill in some of the gaps with some of the photos i have found searching for photos of his teardrop.

Don't know if the pictures missing is because they were hosted on photobucket, but try adding a browser extension - photobucket embedded image fix. It's a workaround for photobucket's 3rd party hosting mess.

the link to Buildpictures.html left off the top level url. I manually added it and came up with this:

Yeah, I had to do that too. But, when you go to the photos albums in each of those galleries for say the floor or walls galleries, etc. then it does not show the pictures in those.

I tagged Mark in a post on his FB page, I know I took my website down after a few year, just wasn't worth the expense for me.

Thank you.
Yeah I have been reviewing them for years. Still am. Hehehe
I understand about the cost of keeping a website up. I have a couple some I dont even use anymore. So I get it.
I was at one time a while back when it was up, I was going to pretty much do a screen shot of each page and save each photo as I was afraid it wouldn't be there when I was ready. Teach me to wait. Hehehe

Back when I was a technofobe, I used to have a Mac program called "Site Sucker" and it would pull EVERYTHING off of a server with loads of options like images only, or only to a certain directory level, it was a great way to create a local copy on a complete website. That was 10 years ago though

Well, I tried that photobucket fix but it didnt seem to help.

I did find this on the way back machine
"IMPORTANT NOTE: Your images might not show up. The one drawback to the Wayback machine is that they rarely archive the images with the old website page. So, if you see empty boxes with broken images, that’s normal."

But the narration is there just missing the photos in those galleries. :(
