Interesting, don't see many 12vdc AC units. Interesting about the 55 sq feet, most AC units I have read go by cubic feet.

While looking interesting, 55 sq ft isn't much, about a 5 x 10 area with a teardrop or the size of a smaller bathroom in a house. I wonder if it were 100 degrees outside with typical teardrop insulation what the result in cooling would be. If it really performed, it could be an interesting choice for small spaces.

1700 BTU will not cool much. We had a 2400 BTU that just did not have enough coolth.

My build is just a 5x8 footer. So I'm taking a leap it will handle it decently. If it can lower a fee degrees and clear up some humidity on a hot summer night it'll be a win. Looks like I'll let you all know next summer.
