You're welcome! That's a nice video--maybe the nicest hot wire cutter I've seen. If I ever finish the teardrop I should make one like that (for Shelly).

Only been working on that for a week off and on. Just a small 150 unit senior apt building, That will wind up around 3.5 million in electric work.

One of my friends here in Raton needed a bit of cutting done. He's making a concrete obelisk & no, I have no idea why he's making this stuff but he's an interesting guy. I made a mold for him which will make one that's 55 1/2" tall with a 9 1/2" base. Should be an interesting design once it's poured & cast. Will post an image of one. I told him I didn't want any $, just make one for me...

New batch of blades is back from heat treat today. AEB-L, A2 & 5160 steel, all about HRC 60-61 on these, very hard, but good cutters. Now just have to finish them, ad grips, make sheaths & get them out there on display.

Here's the first one in the works from yesterday. It's AEB-L stainless at HRC 60, Bocote grips, black & white liners. Ready for the epoxy now to fasten it all together, then it's final finish on the blade & grips.

What did you do today

Postby BigDave_185 » Mon Apr 26, 2021 7:22 pm

The rain pushed the company to send folks home, I didn’t really want to so I detailed and polished our three year old dump truck. Looks and feels brand new minus the bed from factory crap paint

Built a platform to get the Hound off the floor in TV. Also captured some storage volume.

Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".
