Usually this time of year it's a good idea to stray from off-road trails with tall grass in the middle also.

Years ago a jeep a jeep caught fire on the freeway (luckily he pulled over in time to extinguish it out).
Turns it it was dried up grass stuck in the skidplate.
It burned up some of the wires underneath and was never the same again.
All the wires were fixed but it might have damaged the computer .

This conversation reminds me of something I saw on YouTube last year:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y9feVp0RZvQ

A cop car pulls a guy over in the grassy median after chasing him at 140+ mph. Needless to say, the exhaust of the cop car catches the grass on fire and you can imagine what’s next!

Speaking of watching where you park, I moved my trailer out from under some trees with hurricane Isaias barreling up the east coast. It will pass over us tomorrow, probably as a tropical storm.
My off-road camper build on an M116A3 military chassis:

I remember when they first came out with the catalytic converters on cars and how they started grass and field fires. Then the manufacturers put heat shields on the catalytic converters and that seemed to help.
