I'm having trouble posting pictures. It says the pictures are to big. How do I make the smaller?

I use imgur, it works well. upload, click on edit set the size to around 1000-1200 for most people screen. Then click on share links and select forum, copy link paste in the post.

If you are using Windows, you can use the built-in "Paint" program. (you might be able to select the file, right-click and choose "Edit")
Choose "Resize" from the menu at the top, select the "Pixels" radio button, then enter the values 640 x 480 (or vice versa). Save and done.

You need to be careful changing the pixel size. make sure the ratio stays correct or you can stretch or squish a picture.

Imgur keeps the size ration correct unless you force it to change it.

In Linux I open a picture I'm using, change the picture in the Gimp program (crop, contrast, etc.) then post into the gallery. From there, just copy into the thread for use.

I've used PIXresizer for years to reduce my pics for this forum and several others that I use. Free download and easy to use.
However, I do most of my work on a PC and not a smartphone.
