My Yearly Search

Postby Dahlia47 » Tue Oct 11, 2022 11:03 pm

Its almost cool enough to do some work on TTT.

Yup, I'm looking for a bed. Even if its diy. I need easy fold up for my back. It needs to fold from head to toe. Not able to do the sofa beds or futons the sleep from elbow rest to elbow rest. A full size mattress fits perfectly. I have rails that will hold a frame. It needs to hold me and husband. I'm 200 and he's 270.
I have seen the tri fold futons that might work as well as the bed slats that roll up. Not sure if they will hold us. The bed set up we have now slides but I hear it crack often. Scares me.

If you see something or have something you built show me. Post a link or pics.

Thank you!!!

Ikea used to make a metal framework bed that folded the way you want it to. It has metal slats to extend bed sideways for larger mattress. It was a one-fold type of frame.

I just went through their site and didn't find it but that doesn't mean anything. lol their search engine doesn't seem that good.

If you don't find one let me know. I have one of the Ikea's I could snap a couple of pic's of.

* It might help if the OP would post a pic or two, just so the problem area might be observed. No dimensions are given in the text, either, so it's a guessing-game for the readers. It works both ways....

The measurements for the space is 75x60 inches. And this is a pic of it folded into a couch.
