Hello everybody.......

I stumbled uppon this web site about a week ago, and after dropping
in a few times since, I thought I'd sign up.
The members here seem to have a lot of knowledge in building /
modifing teardrop's.
I bought a vintage KenSkill about a year ago, and it needs a complete
rebuild. Recently, I purchased a set of plans from Kevin Hauser ( 10'
comet ) and have been studying his method.
I'm trying to gain as much knowledge as possible so I can start the
rebuild process.

Randy,

A complete rebuild eh... is that like taking it down to the frame, and building a new teardrop, using the old hardware?

We have some people here who have restored teardrops... Rhonda comes to mind, so does BrianStaceyErnst. Check out Brian's photos here...

Mike,

Yep.....a total rebuild. All the way down. About the only thing it's good
for right now is patterns. Even the hardware will have to be replaced.
So I'm looking at any and all options I have to make improvements
without altering the vintage qualities.
One of the area's I'm looking at is the side walls. I already bought all
the birch for the rebuild, but now I'm considering insulating the side walls.
I didn't even consider insulating the side walls until recently when I read
somewhere about all the condensation. This concerns me. I had planned
on insulating the cieling and floor only, but now I've decided to wait and
seek more information before I get started.
Oh yeah, thanks, for the link.
