Harvest Hosts

Postby bdosborn » Mon May 15, 2023 8:31 am

Anybody else using Harvest Host for camping? We just joined this year and so far it's been pretty good. We had two duds; one site that never responded to our request and one where there were homeless people freaking out in the parking lot. Other than that it's been pretty awesome. We like them better than a Walmart or Cracker Barrel on road trips.

I am a member and have used them a few times. The farms and vineyards seem to be better than breweries and such. The breweries and those type places usually are noisy and limited in parking.

The biggest issue I have is that you have to usually check in during business hours and also have to plan ahead a bit. I tend to be more spontaneous and stop later.

That's just me though.

Yeah, that part was kind of a surprise but so far we've been able to work with it. Some places take reservations a day before but most don't.
