Floor constuction

What have you used for lumber for the floor and its frame. I would like to use Douglas Fir, but it is very hard to find in Florida. I was wondering if the Home Depot stud type material would do

Home Depot 2 by framing material will work, make sure it is dry however. They can curl and twist making the floor a lot of fun to work with. Good Luck with your build. Doug Hodder 8)

Hey, Nick--are you looking in the right place?

I'm in South Florida, and HD has a special aisle with the Douglas Fir, along with the exotic woods. I don't recall whether they had 2 X 2 (is that what you want?), but I didn't bother anyway. Don't think you need it for the frame attached to the plywood.
