I would get the thinnest stuff that saf has...

For example in a 5x10 sheet the thinnest stuff they have is .0625. You don't want to go any heavier than that.

In the 4x8 size get .032 or .040. I think my first Benroy had the .040, and that may be because I couldn't get the painted aluminum in .032.

And chosing between painting and anodizing, you almost have to call saf and ask for samples in the color you are interested in. I requested samples in black. When I got them, it was a no brainer. I went with the painted. I did not like the anodized finish at all.
