I used a 3/4" X 1 1/2" poplar frame construction (2 long runs, center long run was cut 3" short for the ends, cross pieces for addition bracing where needed), 3/4" foam inserts & 1/8" baltic birch skins top & bottom. No problems, but I did worry & add a small sheet of 1/4" where our butts sit at the doors when entering, for a bit more support just in case we gain a bit of weight later.
