I am just starting this project and am wondering what wood species were used on the ORIGINAL trailers? Some info says fir, others birch, I understand some masonite was also used. Could there have been different materials used for cabinets or did the purchasers have options? Thanks for the help!

Give George a call in Victor Montana.

He's a world of knowledge about the originals. (And has a lotta of the trim and hardware too.)

I think he'd like to sell the business. He has quite an inventory of parts.
