I plan on building a frame on the inside of the body for the door to close against. This leave a gap of about 1/4 inch. On the frame, facing the closing door, will be some self-adhesive foam. So, when the door closes, it closes against the foam.

In addition, my first line of defense is going to be a plastic V shaped seal in the space between the door and the door frame. It comes flat, half has adhesive on it. Once installed, you bend the unglued portion back over the over half. This is kind of springy and will form a seal between the door and frame when you close the door. It is sold in home depot and used in house doors to stop drafts.... one caveat. The door edge must be smooth, or the plastic will catch on it as you open the door.

If you visit a home depot, you will find a lot of different types of self-adhesive seals. the only thing to watch out for is some foams are not weather proof and are meant only to stop air from rushing through. Read the label and some will say weatherproof or some such thing.

But, I found about 6 different types that would meet my needs.

Steve,
A picture is worth a thousand words thanks.
With all the rain here in Florida I need to make sure I build water tight.

I have both side wall units built, and cut out the doors and windows yesterday.

On the bottom door cut, I tilted the blade 5 degrees. This will alow water to run out instead of puddling in the opening...

The sides go up today... on schedule.

But, the devil is still in the details........ I am on schedule because of effort, not by design. After this project is over, maybe I can get my life back and see if I have any friends left...
