Brazos Bend is only about a 40 minute drive from the house here. Galveston Island SP is about the same. It is only about an hour to SFA SP in Sealy - which is closest to you.
The beach is always so windy, and we don't do surf fishing. My wife is a nature photographer and has a special fascination with alligators. I will post a couple of pics today.
We did spend a nice weekend at the new camp site in Matagorda. Nice showers and got some good sea bird shots and a really GREAT Blue Heron.
