I wonder how many people are out their $15-20,000 deposit?

I saw one of their teardrops and said to my wife, we need that! Then saw how much they were and looked into building. :?

It makes you wonder how a company that gets great reviews, best in class awards and just all around good reviews in the press. can be such a poorly run company. I wonder how many of the other trailer companies are in the same boat?

Inka outdoor is in the same situation.

Ther's been at least two other companies who have had similar situations over the past few years going by threads on ExPo.
People who are laying down upwards of $5k deposits with build times being greater than 6 month out are fools. They should lay down a deposit to get on the build list that's nonrefundable and covers the manufacturer's design time. And then when the build starts make the rest of the deposit.

Sears started with a catalog, you see pictures, read descriptions, order products, they get delivered. Then they opened retail stores.

Amazon started with a web page, you see pictures, read descriptions, order products, they get delivered. Then they started opening retail stores.

A recent CEO almost killed JC Penney. Sears started 1892. It is an effective business model that bad management can destroy. GE is almost gone. GM actually went bankrupt. Big helps but bad management wins.

It's a shame what happened to Moby1.

The owner is facing criminal charges for (I believe) insurance fraud: https://www.ksl.com/article/46602759/owner-of-utah-county-camping-trailer-business-faces-criminal-charges

The employees suffered along with many customers. Many of the employees were not paid, from what I understand.

Some of the employees left to work for other trailer manufacturers in the area. And another group formed a new trailer company called VORSHEER. So if you were a fan Moby1 you'll love the redesigned and upgraded VORSHEER Trailer:https://www.vorsheershop.com/xoc

I posted a thread to introduce VORSHEER to this community: http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=72170
