Don't mind me...

Postby mikeschn » Thu May 26, 2005 12:41 pm

Don't mind me, I'm just working on the new help page...

Here's the URL I've just pasted... which doesn't work...
http://tnttt.com/album_ ... ic_id=1583

change the word page to the word pic, like this...
Image

Hilight the url and click the Img button

Now the picture displays just fine...

Mike...

P.S. Here's the help page I came up with. Any suggestions to improve it?

Mike,

Looks good to me, but then I already understood it! I guess you will put a "Help" tab on the top of the page?

While you were writing this, I was adding album pictures to a reply - and each time it has defaulted to 'pic', not 'page'.

Curiouser and curiouser.....

Go ahead and throw a wrench in the works... What browser are you using that you get pic in the link? I am using Firefox, and I get page in my links...

What does your summer school class tell you about this mess? You know, that high powered web design class you took...

Mike...

P.s. Somewhere in another thread I asked about a feet forward teardrop for a feet forward motorcycle. Did you find that yet?

Never throw wenches in the works - it gums them up summpink awful.

Firefox too.

Little boys who ask awkward questions get detention....

Somewhere in another thread I asked about a feet forward teardrop for a feet forward motorcycle. Did you find that yet?

Yup, but I didn't have a good answer....

Andrew

On edit: Damn, now I've been infected with the 'page' disease - I definitely got 'pic' yesterday, but today it's 'page'. Wazzup?

GODDIT! The page address (URL) of the latest picture I've added is:

BUT, if I click on the picture itself and use 'Copy Image Location' in Firefox (or get its filename via 'Properties') I get:

Walla!

Hey that's great... I'll be able to simplify the "help posting photos" page.

Thanks Andrew!

Why do you browse with Firefox over say, Internet Explorer? What are the advantages?
:QM

Oh and Mike, what version of PHPBB are you running?

I use Firefox to help keep unwanted visitors out. And I'm running 2.0.13 or something like that...

No I didn't. I can only assume that he gave me an incorrect message number.

I just changed the Photo Album settings back to the way they were. so instead of scrolling thru the photos, you have to close the window, to view the next pic.

That fixes the problem we recently started having with the word page showing up instead of the word pic.

:D
