Well I am having to work my buns this week of course. But, we have been having some 90 degree days. So, I was looking over the spray on undercoating I did and I Wasn't happy with the end result. So I went and got a Gallon of Black Roof patch the fiber added kind. Cost me $ 6 @ Home Depot. After Two coats which One Gallon can do easliy I am Very happy with the results. I would not suggest using the spray on product I used before. It just dosen't cover that well

We used basically the same stuff on our build and was very happy with it. Put on 2 good coats and then went back and hit all the seems and joints and what not once more just to be sure. It's been a few days now and it seems have dried up well. Worse case situation after a few road trips may need to check and make sure all is well and maybe throw on a quick coat or two in trouble areas. Time will tell...

Good job Mike. Only a month ago you were at Shasta taking pictures.

Just picked up on this thread. Good progress.

BTW the wife has a Scion exact same color. Have to admit, I REALLY like it.

Sorry it has been so long -
Summer hit and I have been busy in my NEW biz -
Like no tomorrow.
I have had some progress here are some more pics to wet yopur appetite. I do need to get going again as I do not have a garage and I want to get this baby "wintered in" before fall.
Hope to get busy on her again in the next week or two.

I also have the rear galley door framed but no pics yet. - Soon

Oh and yeah if you are wondering that front window is a rear window out of a fiberglass truck canopy. Git it at the Dump for a mere $5.
It is tinted too.

xB Hitch Height

Postby pblichfeldt » Sun Sep 16, 2007 7:01 pm

MY only problem with Scion xB is that the remodeled 2008 xB is too big. I have owned them all Mercedes, Cad, Volvo and like my small xB best.

What did you do about the hitch height?

I have not ordered my hitch yet because it will be a few months before I am back on the water. Yes, water, I kayak and canoe about 1,000 miles yearly and the new TD is my reward for sleeping in a tent on my river trips.

I'm the guy who drove from Orlando to Ohio, hitched up new TD and drove home. Ended up with blood clot in left leg and hospital. Out of hospital but will be 6 months before off blood thinner and back in action.

I admire you folks who have the ability to build your own but I was lucky with the TD I "won" on ebay. It was built by a professional carpenter.

Thanks for all the posts I have learned a great deal about my TD and reading the forums gives me many hours of "killed time" as I recouperate.javascript:emoticon('8)')
