Fibreglass flywire on Xps foam

Okay I am a newby am testing all kind of fabrics on Xps foam has anyone tried glueing fibreglass flywire on foam with wood glue to keep the weight down as I am trying to build an ultraLite Teardrop as my car is Diahatsu terios 1.3 liter motor Cheers Leslie .

PS okay have now tried sticking 2 layers on it with exterior paint and it's stuck on real good and it takes 2 thick heavy coats to cover it good . .

There were several people using mastic to adhere fiberglass window screen material to foam. Search using those terms and you'll find them. If you are content to use it without filling the weave pattern to make a smooth finish, it could be good. If you have to fill the weave you are adding weight with no added strength.

I think fabrics will give the best strength to weight. Either cotton or linen with water based glue or synthetics or glass fiber with epoxy.

glass fiber with epoxy. .Why wast the money expoy ? Just use the right foam
