I currently have two options: I-29 out of Kansas City north to Nebraska City, Hang a left to I 80 to Kearney and Minden.
OR: I-29 to St. Joesph Mo, Turn left on 36 highway across the state to 183 and North to Minden. However, I am going to latch on to the first convoy out of the Kansas City area, and follow them.

He'd have to land in San Diego I think. You guys just hop a plane and someone will make a place for you to sleep. Heck by the time the jet lag gets ya you will sleep standing up.

You can take I-29 to #2 West and follow that to Lincoln and I-80. Should cut off a couple of hours and still be on a good road. If you take 36 you will be forever getting through the little towns every 30 min.

I see all this talk of convoys sounds like fun. How many people will be comeing in from the East? I'm coming in from Indiana anyone else from the east?

Is anybody else coming in from the north? We'll probably come down I25 to I80, stay at Cheyenne and then go across to Minden.

Tom, DO NOT take that route!! You will hit every podunk town in Northern Kansas and constantly have to slow down for them (I did it in '05). I'd either take the I-80 route or head West on I-70 to Salina and meander North to Minden. I'm taking the I-70 path.

It really looks like Salina, KS will be a good meeting point for those coming from / thru Oklahoma , and those from the DFW area, etc.

Are most people driving there on Wed, the 13th??? I'm putting in for vacation !!!

Gosh I was thinking of leaving really early on the 14th and drive through. Are you planning on overnighting it on the 13th? Minden is only a few hours away from Salina. I wonder if the Colorado campers are doing I-70 too?

How long did it take everybody to get confirmation on their reservations for Minden. We sent ours in January and do not have them yet.
