Well, the owners have sold out to another company!!!

I still have my job at the same pay, but I do not think that I want to work for them. It is going to be a lot more hectic and tons more paperwork, etc to keep track of all of the time and I do not think that they want a part time driver either.

So, I might be looking for a new job very, very soon.

Wow that qualifies as a shock. I'm looking for another job too, I'm not leaving the university I'm just moving to another division. I hope you find a good job Kerry. :worship:

Thanks, I should be able to take some time to find some thing. Not sure exactly when I might quit this job yet. Good Luck with yours!

Alan Wood wrote:Hey Mandy! Good to see you here! The weather here in Sacramento (and it's suburbs) has been mostly below average. A pretty good thing given the fact that my air conditioner is just plain dead! Yeah I know living here I need to get it replaced but man 6000 + at best :(

WOW thats really very expensive to get the AC working. I'm glad I can use cheap swamp coolers here in NM cause for that price I would rather not have cooling either.

The problem isn't with the AC it self rather the now roughly 40 year old furnace has failed outright. It needs replacing for a number or reasons. The AC is maybe 18 years old or so now... But even that is getting rather long in the tooth. So basically I need to replace the whole system. There are however two things in my favor. In Sacramento it rarely fails to get below 70 at night during the summer so opening up the windows and running fans will usually keep the house cooled too tolerable temperatures during the summer. Yeah there will be a couple of day's that that won't do the job. That's where the portable room air conditioner I will be buying comes in. Who cares if the rest of the house is 100 + degrees if the room I am in is in the 70's.

Good morning! :)

Nasty storm went thru here last night about 10. I did not sleep well at all and have been awake since 3:45 this morning. Trying to decide about going out for a ride since it is on about 72 out there and will be going up in the upper 90's later. But, I might just be too tired for it to be much good.

You have quite the 'social' calendar!

Thinking about a ride in a few minutes - still not sure though!

Neither of us are feeling that great.. I really didn't feel like a ride.. but we have taken a couple of days off as it was. I hope to do a bit more tomorrow.. this morning 18 miles.. We took off real easy.. and had 16mph at the 10 mile mark.. then I picked it up on the 8 mile road home..I wanted to pick up the pace a little but still stay way away from max intensity riding that section at a little over 20mph..

well cool down a min. then shower and leave... :D

oh and we will dress first.. :NC
