Google is starting to provide Email. It is still in its testing phase, so it seems you can only join by being invited by someone who is in it. I had it for a week or so, and then it let me invite people.

It has some non traditional features to make it "cool"
For example, if you email back and forth from someone replying over and over. It keeps track of them kind of like a thread, so you can go back and follow the flow.
Here read this page:
https://gmail.google.com

Oh, and you get a whole gig of storage space so you don't have to delete emails.

Here, I'll save you a step. It says this:

A Google approach to email.
Gmail is an experiment in a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want. The key features are:

Search, don't sort.
Use Google search to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received.

Don't throw anything away.
1000 megabytes of free storage so you'll never need to delete another message.

Keep it all in context.
Each message is grouped with all its replies and displayed as a conversation.

No pop-up ads. No untargeted banners.
You see only relevant text ads and links to related web pages of interest.

One of the few times I disagree with Mr. Twain. I say, never put off until tomorrow something you can weasel out of entirely. 8)
