Signing Back In

Well,
I found a place where I can actually say, "Yup, I'd move there."

Image
The first thing that hit me... Was the color of the ocean.

Image
The second thing that hit me... was the flowers.

Image
The third thing that hit me... was how laid back it was, Life Is A Beach.

Image
I went on a two day quest to find this ancient Hawaiian petroglyph of Paddleman carved in a lava flow.

Dean

It is nice there, however it cost a fortune. I should have bought a house when I first went there, like a fool, I did not and then it got to expensive. Had I bought a house, I would have never been in Eureka, so0...

Your photos brought back good memories. I have the same tree, with the yellow and white flowers, in my front yard. In the back I have a red one.

I did not hear a comment about the coffee!!. Did you bring some of that Kona coffee back with you?

Hope the toe was the only bad part of the trip.

Merry Christmas.

Kai,
The Coffee was the best I've had.
I brought home a bag and took it to my brother's house for Christmas.
The food was the best!!!
I found a new fish that's right up there with Halibut. (They call it Ono)
We looked at a small coffee farm, 10.3 acres... only 485K.
The Hawaiians have a great point of view in regards to Luau...You don't eat until you get full, You eat until you get tired!
I always thought that "Island Fever" was like "Cabin Fever" (Like as to the space is too small), But I'm begining to think that "Island Fever" is a deep desire to return there, because that's all I've been thinking about these last couple of days. I didn't want to leave when it came time to pack up and head home. That place is an absolute true paradise!!! Hilo is just like Eureka. North of Kona is just like the Capetown and Petrolia along the Lost Coast area. They even have redwood trees over there. OK... Yes they are very small, but they are still redwood trees. I've already sat my kids down and talked with them about following my lead, if and when I do return to stay. I bought a CD colection today called Instant Immersion Hawaiian to learn how to speak the language. I've been listening to The Best of the Hawaiian Style Band for about two days now. I especially like two cuts by Robi Kahakalau; Kaimana Hila & No Ke Ano Ahiahi, her voice just sends me!
Help!!! Somebody... Please Make This Stop!!! I'm Starting To Go Crazy!!!

Hey Chip,
If it's any consolation... I used up the last of my Kona coffee I brought home this morning. :x

Dean,
Welcome back! You've been missed!
Ahhh...the pictures are BEAUTIFUL.

The ocean picture makes Lake Michigan, near where I live, look like crap!

(Partly due to all the "crap" that has been dumped there over the years)

Sorry you had to return from "paradise on earth" but glad to see you back on the board!

The Kona and Jamacian Blue Mountain are the most expensive coffees I've seen. Good thing I don't drink it.

Kinda funny, Out all my friends at work only one drinks coffee (we work nights 6PM to 6AM).
