You every considered Kick Biking. Saw one up close and personal a couple of weeks back...might do it with the dog, but the harness costs as much as the bike

hmm what have I done since checking in... I think another couple of snowshoes... one a social with others.. [not that I did not run ahead a bit].. and another when it was to nasty for riding.

We have had some cold road rides. and still a few snow rides. I found an area that still had good snow... except for the fields. I know an hour yesterday.. and 2 1/4 hours today. :D

El Tour de Tucson

Postby mkitchen » Wed Nov 16, 2011 1:42 pm

My son and I will be riding bike patrol for the El Tour this year. We are only doing the 66 mile route but it will be a good workout for me since I have not done the training that I should have.

Oh, how I miss the years of my youth where I could just gather up my gear and take off for a century ride with little concern on whether I was ready or not. Well at least it is stll fun.

My wife and I continue to work out quite regularly. I just got "tired" of being the only one posting..most of the time

I rarely take a day off.. doing 1 - 3 workouts a day. We did a couple hour, group trail run in the snow last night. Today a mountain bike ride.. also in the snow.

A couple of my cousins competed in one earlier this year. They loved it, but the training (and competition) were rough. Good luck!

Re: Exercise Anyone?????????????

Postby NightCap » Mon Nov 05, 2012 4:33 pm

I'm looking for an elliptical machine. Any tips on the best place to get one? I want to look good in a bikini, or at least look good for Tear events next summer. Actually I just want to get healthy.

Craigslist in February ;)
Seriously though, local 2nd hand listings are usually cheap and plentiful.

How nice an elliptical ?

I work at a bike shop that also sells fitness equipment. We sell nice stuff. Department stores.. and chains like Dick's sporting goods [I don't know if they are a national chain or regional chain, sell the stuff also. There stuff is not nearly as nice.
Do you plan on using it? Do you want to have someone who can do repairs on it, if and when it needs it?
