(Another) Change In Direction

I turned in my 2-weeks notice at The Home Depot last night. I have accepted a job at local marina/boat yard as a fiberglass and gelcoat specialist and detailer. I'm back in the boat business !! :applause: Only problem now is the water here isn't Blue-Green and it doesn't have salt. :(
Don't know what this is going to do to my TD build time since I've been "promised" overtime but there's still nights and some weekends.
Reality? What a concept!

Already asked if I could use a small corner of the shop for doing just that. There are three 50-foot plus yachts in there now.. it's huge - and air-conditioned! :applause:

Congradulations on the new job, Dave. Believe me, you don't need the salt.....It's only good for making things rust!

Thanks for the wishes Kai and Steve... I started writing a book on boat maintenance (cosmetics and aesthetics) and one of the statements I made early on was "if you put something in salt water long enough it won't be there any more". True enough.
By the way, the name of the book??? "Get Your Ship Together" :D
Up to Chapter 6 of projected 13. Slow-moving project.

In the 70s, I worked on the first ever fiberglass ship, a 150ft minehunter (officially called HMS Wilton, but it's always been known as HMS Tupperware), and the ship manager's yacht fitted in next to it just fine, so you can explain that it's a traditional privilege.
