Pay off

Postby ALAN GEDDES » Wed Apr 20, 2005 8:17 pm

Sat here figuring that my tear will have paid for itself after our next outing at the SE Spring Fling in Ashevill next month. When I compare the cost of park fees to hotel fees it will have paid for itself in only 8 months of use. And I never would have met the people I have and had so much fun. :applause:

Allen,

The way I figure it, you either go camping a whole lot more than I can, or you stay in a LOT higher class motel than I stay in!

It kinda depends on the investment on your build doesn't?. I know both of my teardrops did not cost me that much at all and compared to others . The real "Payoff" here is meeting all the nice and great people that I would have otherwise never would have meet. Think about it, what are the chances or odds of meeting so many people on the internet. Set up a chance meeting (gathering) and have it all turn out so well. I can't wait for the next event to happen.

Steve, I have about $1300 in my tear not counting camping gear. Spring fling will be sixth outing with it and about a total of 20 nights so that comes out to about $400 in Park fees. The last time we stayed at a hotel at Myrtle Beach off season it was $100 a night and that was thee years ago.

Plus sleeping in your own bedding is probably healthier. When you stay in a motel/hotel you are only the thickness of a pillowcase away from someone else's germs, unless you haul your own pillow with you everywhere.
