You know you’re a tear drop addict when …

Postby TomS » Wed May 11, 2005 11:34 am

What are those defining experiences that confirm your tear drop addiction? I’ll start off with a few of mine.

You’re as excited as a little kid at Christmas when the UPS truck pulls up to your house. A few minutes later, you’re depressed because the package isn’t for you.

You spend hours browsing through marine supply catalogs and web sites and you don’t even own a boat.

“Getting lucky” means finding a local source for 1 / 8” thick birch plywood.

You lie awake at night wondering if you should've used Gorilla Glue instead of Titebond.

Your spouse wonders aloud if the T&TTT web forum might be some kind of cult.

And you stay up late at night madly sketching out your galley layout, over and over and over..........

I used to drift off to asleep thinking about pretty women...
...Now I fall asleep building and doing design modifications to my teardrop. :D

Speaking of falling asleep... If I'm having a hard time getting to sleep, I'll just start building something for the trailer in my mind from start to... ZZZZZ.

I still do Dean, only now they're in coveralls and they're laying epoxy and glass over some plywood...

You know your addicted when you innocently ask one of your Buddies, in front of other guys to stop over the house tonight "you want to show him your Woody" and after everybody cracks up all you can say is "What..What I say..What"

I throw them out as soon as I know I'm not going to return something--I don't want to be reminded.

I knew I was an addict when I stopped visiting my guitar site (I've been an avid player for years), and started coming here instead.

Plus when I told the kids to hand me the wrench while they were crying, "DADDY! WE'RE HUNGRY AND LONELY! FEED US AND PLAY WITH US!"

... You buy two sinks on ebay instead of one and when they both arrive...
Your first thought is...How can I work both of these into the project?
