Teardrop meditation

Postby Ron Dickey » Fri Jun 03, 2005 9:45 pm

This will be a rough month for me.
I just got my replacement CD-R installed took a lot of swaping around
to get it up, including barrowing someone elses to install it's software.
The Trap went out in my bath sink and in so removing the trap
it took part of the next pipe with it. Plumber may have to fix what I broke.

In to weeks my mother will have a new pacemaker put in. she's nearly 90.
many other projects are looking me in the face saying to me first.

Then it hit me .... Building this trailer will not be just another chore ...
I can use it to get centered ...
a type of meditation to get me away from looming problems ....
and then like Peter pan I can use it to run away to relax
and Meditate.

Yep, Building a tear can be a time for meditation. Especially while watching the glue / stain / polyurethane / epoxy dry. Just have to keep enough awareness to check on the process at the appropriate times... Let's see Titebond III needs to be clamped for 30 minutes. Stain needs 2 hours before recoating and 3 hours after the final coat before poly is applied. Poly needs 2 hours between coats and Epoxy needs to be recoated when slightly tacky..... Oh dear, I'm confused. I need to go meditate.

Sorry things are rough for you this month. Hope building the tear is enjoyable... and that things go well for your Mother.

I've got 2 projects going at once. I've got the teardrop and I've got the 14ft mahogany boat. I've quickly come to realize that I never cuss, never get a headache, never get mad and throw things when I'm working either the boat or the tear. So YES, I know exactly what you're saying.
I am NOT a complete idiot! Some of the pieces are missing.
