Nice,

Love those action shots!

By the time we finish this thread we will have our own Animal Planet Book. Rob, I had never seen one of those Hummingbird Moths before either. It was feeding on all the flowers in our back yard. They move like a real hummingbird and are hard to catch a picture of. Cool action shot, those are tough to catch.
That is a beautiful Peacock, where was that shot taken?

Steve,

Here in Urbana Illinois.

There is a hobby farmer next to one of our properties that lets them "roam" a bit.
Fun to watch, though they like to roost in odd places, and are messy.

One day a few years ago a couple males were arguing over who was going to get the girl, and didn't seem to care that they were in the middle of the road.
So, I just got out of the truck and started shooting.It netted me this one of them up in the air;

Not sure who won, as I had to get back to work, but probably the big fellow on the right.

And the one I posted earlier was at a different time, don't remember which season.
I like animals and try to get pictures of them where ever I go.

Just took this picture of a juvenile garter snake the other day. It looks huge but was very small, less thick than a pencil at it's thickest point.

Wow, we have some great shots here. Keep them coming. I love to see what others have found out in the wild.

Rob that Peacock picture was cool. I have never seen them spar like that. There is always a camera with me when I am out of the house, cause you never know what you will see.

Back on track....How about a Yellowstone Bison. He walked right past the car door.
